Hello, I'm looking to buy a budget but good zoom lens, after some research I found 55-250mm to be good overall. However, I couldn't find a used IS STM version but found the IS II version. I found some places where they say IS STM is better in terms of optical performance.

I have a Canon 700D with 55-250mm that I use for Sports Photography. I recently bought the 55-250mm NON STM bec of the part-time job I got. I was wondering what is the best settings for my CANON 700D? as I really struggle during lowlight. The 700D has pretty darn good autofocus (I had its twin, the 650D).
