2007 x type 2.2d clutch problems. just thought i would relate the clutch problems i have had with my '57 plate 2.2d se saloon. the first clutch was slipping after 3k miles,that was replaced and again at 6k, car was inspected by ap and jag and " bedded in " new clutch fitted at 14k and a spring under recall at 1st service this one is on the way My X-Type 2005 Diesel 2.0 has been a little laboured starting recently but not failed to start and then today I turn the key and nothing happens. The lights on dash, in cabin and headlights all come on and when I turn the key they do not dim. There is no click / clatter from the solenoid so I don't think this is trying to engage the starter motor.
